I know how to back up the files from the camera, but it saves it in some weird .TOD format, and I can’t use it unless I run it through JVC’s crappy software to convert it to an mpeg, but even then it’s jerky. I want to be able to take video from my camera, and edit them, without all that red tape, can anyone help?

The man at the store told me it might be grainy, or have to small a picture–I found this a little hard to believe since it is 5 megapixels. I might go back tomorrow to buy it, but I need other opinions–does anyone out there have a similar camera–what do you think?
